Job summary

Optical Precision in Dudley is seeking an experienced CNC Turner, Programmer, Setter or Operator to join a precision engineering team. You will work on Mandolins / mandrel lathes (Mori Seiki & Nakamura) using Fanuc controls to produce high‑quality components for aerospace and automotive sectors.

The role involves programming, setting and operating lathes, interpreting drawings and maintaining close tolerances across materials. Overtime and pension benefits are available.

Qualifications

• Experience in programming, setting, and operating lathes (Mori Seiki or Nakamura) with Fanuc controls.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and meet close tolerance specifications.
• Experience machining different types of materials.

Responsibilities

• Program, set, and operate Mandolins / mandrel mandrel lathes (Mori Seiki & Nakamura) using Fanuc controls.
• Machin e precision parts in small‑to‑medium batch work quantities.
• Work to close tolerances on a variety of materials as specified by engineering drawings.
