Job summary

We are recruiting for an experienced CNC Turner in Warminster, Wiltshire. This full-time role involves programming, setting and operating CNC lathes to produce precision components to tight tolerances.

The successful candidate will read engineering drawings, develop new CNC programmes, plan tooling and machining strategies, and conduct on-machine/off-machine checks to ensure quality. 3+ years’ experience and Fanuc familiarity are preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years' CNC machining experience.
• Proven ability to programme, set and operate CNC lathes.
• Experience using Fanuc controls is highly desirable.
• CAD/CAM programming experience would be advantageous.
• Strong understanding of engineering drawings and geometric tolerancing.

Responsibilities

• Programme, set and operate CNC lathes to manufacture precision components.
• Produce accurate components to engineering drawings and customer specs.
• Create new CNC programmes from customer drawings.
• Plan production methods, selecting tooling, fixtures and machining strategies.
• Carry out online and offline programming using Fanuc controls.
• Machine components to tight tolerances and inspect parts throughout production.
• Read and interpret detailed drawings and documentation.
• Adhere to AS9100 quality procedures and company standards.
