Adecco is seeking a skilled CNC Turner for a South Durham site. You will programme, set and operate CNC turning machines to manufacture precision metal parts according to drawings and specs. Overtime opportunities and varied shift patterns are available, with clear routes for training and progression.

The role requires experience with tight tolerances, reading drawings, and using precision measuring tools such as micrometers and bore gauges. A proactive, quality-focused mindset is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in CNC turning with programming, setting and operating CNC lathes.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and interpret tight tolerances.
• Experience producing precision metal components to tight tolerances.
• Proficient with micrometers, verniers and bore gauges for inspection.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Programme, set, and operate CNC turning machines.
• Manufacture components from engineering drawings and technical specs.
• Produce parts to tight tolerances with appropriate tooling and parameters.
• Edit and optimise CNC programmes for quality and efficiency.
• Identify and resolve machining issues and ensure safety standards.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organised workspace.
