Job summary

Holt Engineering is seeking an experienced CNC Turner – Setter/Programmer for its Andover workshop. You will program, set and operate Fanuc-controlled CNC lathes to tight tolerances, reading drawings and selecting correct tooling. The role includes first-off inspections and ongoing troubleshooting to maintain quality.

The successful candidate will have 2-axis turning experience, strong G-code/M-code knowledge and a keen eye for detail. Monday–Friday, permanent position with overtime options.

Qualifications

• Proven CNC Turner experience with Fanuc programming.
• Experience with 2-axis turning and reading engineering drawings.
• Strong understanding of G-code and M-code programming.
• Ability to select tooling and set work-holding to tight tolerances.

Responsibilities

• Program, set and operate Fanuc-controlled CNC lathes.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings to tolerances.
• Select and set tooling and work-holding fixtures.
• Carry out first-off and in-process inspections; troubleshoot issues.
