Job summary

Yorkshire Precision Engineering Ltd (YPEL) is a well-established subcontract precision engineering company based in Keighley. We manufacture high precision turned and milled components for industries including Medical, Oil & Gas, Space, Brewing, Hydraulics and General Engineering.

We're looking for an experienced CNC Turner to work in our fixed head section, setting and operating CNC fixed head lathes with Fanuc & Mitsubishi controls, producing high precision batch work.

Qualifications

• Previous experience setting and operating CNC lathes.
• Able to read engineering drawings.
• Confident using measuring equipment such as micrometers, verniers and gauges.
• Someone who takes pride in producing quality work and can work on their own initiative.
• Experience using twin spindle lathes is an advantage.
• Programming experience would be an advantage but is not essential.

Responsibilities

• Setting and operating CNC fixed head lathes.
• Producing high precision batch work.
• Reading and interpreting engineering drawings.
• Using measuring equipment to verify quality of components.
