Job summary

Metalis Recruitment Group is seeking a CNC Turner for a well established manufacturing site in Sheffield. The role involves setting, programming and operating CNC lathes and reading engineering drawings to ensure parts meet specifications.

You will work with Fanuc/Heidenhain controls, manage tooling and materials, and record production progress while adhering to health & safety standards. Overtime may apply and a pension scheme is offered.

Qualifications

• Apprentice trained or 5+ years' experience in CNC turning.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Experience with Fanuc and Heidenhain controls.

Metalis are working with a well established manufacturer in Sheffield, who are looking for a CNC Turner to join their team.

Job Duties

• Set, operate and program CNC machines
• Read and work from engineering drawings
• Ensure tooling and materials are available
• Record production progress
• Ensure all works are completed and passed to the next operation
• Work with a variety of metals
• Adhere to Health & Safety at all times

Job Requirements

• Apprentice trained or 5 years' experience (minimum)
• Experience using Fanuc and/or Heidenhain controls
• Able to read and understand engineering drawings
• Experience working with a variety of sized parts and components

Salary, Shift & Benefits

• £17.00 - £19.30 per hour (depending on experience)
• Monday to Thursday, 8am - 4:30pm & Friday, 8am - 2:30pm
• Overtime paid at 1.5x
