Job summary

AMF Recruitment Ltd is seeking a skilled CNC Turner for a permanent position near Brighouse. You will set and operate single spindle CNC machines, edit Fanuc programs, and inspect work to ensure high-quality output.

The role requires team collaboration and adherence to health and safety standards. Ideal candidates are apprentice-trained to NVQ Level 3, familiar with stainless steel and exotic materials, and able to communicate effectively within a manufacturing cell.

Qualifications

• Able to read engineering drawings and use inspection tools.
• Experience with stainless steel and exotic materials.
• Able to read and interpret technical drawings and tolerances.
• Proven ability to work in a manufacturing cell and relay data.

Responsibilities

• Set and operate CNC machines in a close-coupled in-house shop.
• Edit Fanuc-controlled programs and inspect finished work.
• Maintain smooth transition between shifts and ensure health and safety rules.

Our client, a large manufacturing business based near Brighouse have an immediate requirement to recruit a well versed CNC Turner.

Key Responsibilities:

• Setting and operating for CNC Machines in the Company in-house machine shop
• Setting and operating of single spindle CNC Machines
• Inspection of colleague’s an one’s own work
• Editing Fanuc controlled programs
• Working within a team environment to achieve world class manufacturing
• Ensure smooth transition between shifts
• Strive to achieve improvement within the cell
• Work to safe health and safety instructions

Skills/Experience:

• Worked in similar environment / Industry
• Be able to use engineering measuring equipment
• Be able to read engineering drawings
• Able to communicate effectively
• Experience working with Stainless Steel and Exotic material

Ideal candidates will be apprentice trained engineers equivalent to NVQ Level 3

This is a permanent position where you will be expected to work a rotating early and late shift pattern.

Week 1 - 6am - 2pm Monday to Thursday & 6am - 11:30am on a Friday

Week 2 - 2pm - 10pm Monday to Thursday & 11:30am - 5pm on a Friday.

In return you can expect an hourly rate of £17.95 - £20.55 per hour dependant on experience, plus a shift allowance of 20% when on late shift

This equates to a salary of £38500 - £44000
