Elevation Recruitments Skilled Shop Floor Team is currently partnering with a precision engineering business that specializes in manufacturing hard-to-produce, critical, high-integrity components from exotic alloys and specialist materials for demanding applications.

Due to expansion, they are seeking to add a CNC Turner to their Sheffield facility.

Working Hours

40 hours per week with flexible shift patterns, including a combination of days and evenings, rotating every 2 weeks.

• Days: 6am – 2.20pm
• Lates: 4pm – 2.20am

The business currently operates on days only, but the shift pattern will likely be implemented soon.

Compensation

Hourly Rate: £18.06 on Days / £27.09 on Evenings

Salary: £37,596 - £45,782

Overtime: Paid at time and ½.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate machine tools competently following work instructions and safety practices.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, understanding surface finish, geometric, and dimensional tolerances.
• Create, download, edit, archive, read, and interpret CNC programs.
• Set up components and machines considering optimal production routes and quality requirements.
• Select and use appropriate tooling and cutting methods for stability and component integrity.
• Use inspection equipment accurately to measure components during manufacturing.
• Communicate process improvement opportunities to supervisors.
• Accurately complete records such as labour bookings and setup sheets.
• Engage effectively with team members.
• Maintain machinery and work area according to scheduled preventative maintenance.
• Perform any reasonable requests from management or supervisors.
• Commit to Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental standards.
• Promote continuous improvement and lead by example to meet and exceed company goals.
• Follow all company policies and procedures.
