Job summary

South West Recruitment Ltd in Dorset is recruiting a permanent CNC Turner (Setter/Operator) based near Christchurch to set, machine and inspect parts to tight tolerances.

The role is 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with pay around £36,556 to £42,328 per year, depending on experience. Candidates will work on-site in a precision engineering environment and must follow quality and 5S standards.

Responsibilities

To correctly set the CNC machine and tooling and to operate CNC machines to process the part to the required specifications
To machine parts to agreed specifications and to customer requirements using detailed drawings, layouts and other technical information provided
To ensure machines are fit for purpose by performing routine maintenance according to approved methods
Carry out inspection, including first-off inspection using gauges and measuring instruments
To ensure the work area conforms to the company 5S standards by returning tooling to specified storage areas and to remove waste appropriately

Job description

We are recruiting for a permanent CNC Turner (Setter Operator) for a global precision engineering company based in Christchurch, Dorset.

Salary is £19 to £22 per hour depending on experience.

37 hours per week Monday to Friday

Main CNC Turner duties and responsibilities:
