Job summary

Platinum Recruitment Consultancy seeks an experienced CNC Turner in Romsey to join a well-established manufacturing team producing precision components for aerospace, defence and industrial sectors.

You will set up, program (Fanuc/Siemens/Mazatrol) and operate CNC turning machines, reading drawings, selecting tooling and inspecting parts to tight tolerances in a modern facility with Friday early finishes.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a CNC Turner.
• Strong understanding of CNC machining processes.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and technical specifications.
• Experience programming CNC machines with Fanuc, Siemens, or Mazatrol.
• Competence using micrometers, verniers, gauges and other inspection equipment.

Responsibilities

• Setting up and operating CNC turning machines.
• Programming CNC machines using G-code and making machine adjustments.
• Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications.
• Selecting tooling, fixtures and materials for jobs.
• Inspecting finished components with precision measuring equipment.
• Maintaining tight tolerances and high quality standards.
• Troubleshooting machining issues to minimise downtime.
• Following health and safety procedures and keeping a clean workspace.
