CNC Turner

Salary: £40k-£44k

This leading manufacturer is seeking a CNC Turner to join their team on a permanent basis to help manage their high workload.

CNC Turner Responsibilities

1. Set and operate CNC lathes to produce components according to engineering drawings and specifications.
2. Ensure all components meet quality standards and are produced efficiently.
3. Program, edit, and optimize CNC programs.
4. Experience with multi-axis lathes is advantageous.
5. Inspect finished components for accuracy and quality.
6. Work with tight tolerances, maintaining high accuracy.
7. Collaborate with the production team to adjust processes and improve efficiency.
8. Conduct routine maintenance on CNC machinery.
9. Follow safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
10. This role involves a double-day shift, alternating between early and late starts.

CNC Turner Qualifications

1. Proven experience as a CNC Turner, with expertise in CNC turning using Fanuc or Siemens control systems.
2. Ability to interpret technical drawings and engineering specifications.
3. Strong understanding of precision engineering and working to tight tolerances.
4. Proficient in changing tools and setting offsets on CNC lathes.
5. Ability to edit and optimize CNC programs as needed.
6. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
7. Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
