Interaction Technical is seeking a CNC Fitter & Toolmaker for its injection mould tooling operations in Whittlesey, Cambridgeshire. The role focuses on manufacturing, maintaining and repairing injection mould tooling to support production efficiency.

You will work Mon-Fri days, with opportunities for overtime, ongoing training and development in a modern manufacturing environment. A permanent, full-time position with long-term security is offered.

Qualifications

• Apprentice-trained Toolmaker or equivalent engineering qualification.
• Experience in an injection moulding toolroom environment.
• Experience setting and operating CNC milling/turning machines.
• Knowledge of injection mould tool construction, maintenance and repair.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications.
• Experience using precision measuring equipment (micrometers, verniers, gauges).
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving abilities.
• Able to work both independently and with others in a busy manufacturing setting.
• Excellent attention to detail and quality standards.
• Desirable: CAD/CAM software experience; EDM or spark erosion machines.

Responsabilités

• Manufacture injection mould tools, inserts, jigs, fixtures and precision components from drawings and CAD data.
• Set and operate CNC milling/turning to produce tooling components.
• Carry out manual machining: milling, grinding, drilling, turning.
• Perform planned maintenance on injection mould tools.
• Strip, inspect, clean, repair and rebuild mould tooling.
• Diagnose tooling faults and carry out repairs to minimise downtime.
• Polish mould cavities and cores to required finishes.
• Replace worn tool components and maintain tooling records.
