Job summary

Permanent Recruitment Solutions is seeking a skilled CNC Operator for a busy timber frame manufacturing team in the UK. You will operate CNC woodworking machinery to accurately cut timber components for large frame buildings.

We require experience with CNC machinery, the ability to read drawings, and a commitment to quality. You will work in a fast-paced production environment with training and development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Experience operating CNC machinery in a woodworking/manufacturing setting.
• Ability to read technical drawings and production plans.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.
• Good problem-solving skills and mechanical aptitude.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Physically fit for a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC woodworking machinery to manufacture timber frame components.
• Read and interpret production drawings, cutting lists, and technical specifications.
• Load timber materials and monitor machining operations.
• Carry out quality checks to ensure components meet required tolerances and specifications.
• Adjust machine settings to maintain accuracy and efficiency.
• Perform routine machine maintenance and report faults.
• Work closely with the production team to meet daily production targets.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organised working environment.
• Follow all health and safety procedures at all times.
