Magna International in Shrewsbury seeks an experienced CNC Tech/Process Engineer to lead high-speed 5-axis machining of aluminium diecast parts. You will prove new programs, commission fixtures and tools while monitoring quality and maintaining process conditions.
Reporting to the Assembly Engineering Manager, you will train setters, drive TPM/5S, and collaborate with Production, Quality and Engineering to resolve CNC issues.

This position requires a time served CNC Tech/process Engineer with a proven track record and experience in machining aluminium diecast components on high speed 5 axis machines. Reporting directly to Assembly Engineering Manager, the CNC Tech/process Engineer is required to be able to work of their own initiative whilst also liaising with Production, Quality and Engineer to respond to any issues that affect CNC operation.The CNC Tech/Process Engineer is responsible for proving new programs, commissioning new fixtures and cutting tools. Monitoring part quality and dimensional reports to maintain optimum machining conditions. The CNC Tech/Process Engineer will be responsible for the training and development of the setter/operators across the shift pattern and control standards and safe working practices. Performing machining troubleshooting and TPMs are also key tasks for this role and , drive improvements on process linked with CNC.
