Smart 1 Recruitment Limited is seeking an experienced CNC Sliding Head Setter/Operator for a reputable Redditch machining company. The role is permanent with competitive pay and overtime opportunities.

The ideal candidate will set and operate CNC sliding head machines, with twin-turret/twin-spindle experience as essential. Some programming knowledge is helpful but not required, with a focus on producing high-quality components.

Qualifications

• Experience setting and operating CNC sliding head machines.
• Twin-turret, twin-spindle experience is essential.
• Basic programming experience desirable but not required.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings.
• Work to tight tolerances and perform in-process measurements.

Responsibilities

• Set and operate CNC sliding head machines.
• Work with twin-turret, twin-spindle configurations – essential.
• Carry out basic programming where required (full programming advantageous).
• Produce components to the required standard time.
• Maintain tooling, offsets and machine condition during shift.
• Read drawings and measure with gauges.
• Quality control to customer specifications.
