Job summary

Proactive Technical Limited in Southend-on-Sea is seeking a CNC Setter Operator for a day shift. Salary £35,000–£40,000 depending on experience, with 39 hours per week from 08:00 to 16:30 and an early finish on Friday.

You will set and operate CNC sliding head machines, interpret engineering drawings, and ensure production targets are met while maintaining quality and workplace safety standards.

Qualifications

• CNC/Turning experience.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings.
• Ability to work to production targets.

Responsibilities

• Setting & Operating CNC sliding head machines to produce components from drawings.
• Manufacturing all components within the agreed production time frame.
• Using measuring equipment to check components after manufacture.
• Maintain the agreed quality rating at all times.
• Working within the order of the manufacturing schedule at all times.
• Filling out manufacturing paperwork correctly.
• Maintaining a high standard of housekeeping.
• Supporting team members with other tasks as required.
• Create and maintain a safe working environment and adhere to Health & Safety procedures.
