Just Recruitment Group is seeking a CNC Sliding Head Setter/Operator for a precision engineering company in Braintree, Essex. The role involves a 37-hour week with early and late shift rotations.

The successful candidate will operate multiple CNC sliding head lathes, load and run programs, and ensure components meet drawings and quality standards. QA documentation and strict H&S compliance are required.

Qualifications

• Experience in setting and operating CNC sliding head lathes, reading engineering drawings with tolerances, and using measuring equipment.
• Ability to set up tooling and select proper tools for quality production.
• Proven ability to conduct in-process checks and document QA records.

Responsibilities

• Operate and set CNC sliding head lathes.
• Load and run programs per tool list and work instructions.
• Produce first-off components matching drawings and quality standards.
• Load machines to meet target quantities.
• Conduct in-process inspection and verify against specs.
• Complete QA records and documentation.
• Follow all site H&S procedures.
