Gap Personnel Limited in Southend-on-Sea is seeking an experienced CNC Setter Operator to join our manufacturing team producing high-quality aerospace components. You will set and operate CNC milling machines from engineering drawings to ensure parts meet tight tolerances and deadlines.

Working hours are 39 hours per week, with a Monday–Thursday 08:00–17:00 and Friday 08:00–13:00 schedule. A strong attention to detail and aerospace/precision experience is advantageous for this role.

Qualifications

• Experience setting and operating CNC milling machines.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Knowledge of precision measuring equipment and quality inspection.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Reliable, team-focused approach with the ability to meet production deadlines.
• Aerospace or precision engineering experience would be advantageous.

We are looking for an experienced CNC Setter Operator to join our manufacturing team in Southend-on-Sea, producing high-quality, small-batch aerospace components.

You will be responsible for setting and operating CNC milling machines, working from engineering drawings and ensuring components meet strict quality standards and production deadlines.

• Interpret engineering drawings and use precision measuring equipment to inspect finished parts.
• Ensure production targets, quality standards and deadlines are met.
• Complete manufacturing paperwork accurately.
• Support and mentor colleagues where required.
• Maintain high standards of housekeeping, health and safety.
• Work collaboratively with the team to ensure efficient production.
