Job summary

James Kirby Associates Ltd. seeks an experienced CNC Mill-Turn Setter/Operator to join a precision engineering environment. You will set, program and operate mill-turn machines, ensuring components meet tight tolerances and drawings.

The role offers flexibility in shift patterns and a permanent position within a respected manufacturer. The ideal candidate will have proven CNC Mill-Turn experience, strong setting/operating skills, and familiarity with FANUC controls.

Qualifications

• Must have CNC Mill-Turn experience and strong setting/operating ability.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• CAD/CAM experience is a bonus; programming knowledge advantageous but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Set and operate CNC Mill-Turn machinery.
• Work with FANUC controls.
• Manufacture precision components to engineering drawings and tight tolerances.
• Set and prove out new jobs and edit programmes where required.
• Work predominantly on established repeat production alongside new components.
• Maintain high standards of quality, accuracy and productivity.
• Edit/Programme parts when required if programming knowledge is advantageous.

Circa £42,000-£45,000 / £21-£23 per hour (Depending on shift)

Flexibilty wiht hours and days of work- 4 day week, permenant 6am-2pm shift OR Permanent Day shift

We are looking to recruit an experienced CNC Mill-Turn Setter/Operator. This is a great opportunity to join an established precision engineering manufacturer with a longstanding reputation for producing high-quality engineered components. There is flexibility around the working pattern, with the opportunity to discuss either 4 day week, permenant 6am-2pm shift OR Permanent Day shift

CNC Setter Operator The Role

• Set and operate CNC Mill-Turn machinery.
• Work with FANUC controls.
• Manufacture precision components to engineering drawings and tight tolerances.
• Set and prove out new jobs and edit programmes where required.
• Work predominantly on established repeat production alongside new components.
• Maintain high standards of quality, accuracy and productivity.
• Edit/ Programme parts when required of if neccesary (programming knowledge is advantageous not essential)

CNC Setter Operator What We're Looking For

• Previous CNC Mill-Turn experience is essential.
• Strong setting and operating experience.
• CNC programming experience advantageous not essential
• FANUC experience would be advantageous
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Experience within precision engineering/manufacturing.
• CAD/CAM experience would be beneficial but isn't essential.
• A strong Mill-Turn Setter/Operator may also be considered where they have the technical ability to develop further.

CNC Setter Operator Salary, Hours & Benefits

• Circa £42,000-£45,000 / £21-£23 per hour (Depending on shift)
• Flexibility for days or rotating earlies/lates
• Occasional overtime opportunities.
