Job summary

Candidate Source in Hertford is seeking a CNC Setter/Operator to join its precision engineering team. You will set and operate CNC machines, inspect your own work and help ensure high-quality, efficient output that meets tight tolerances.

The role is 39 hours per week, daytime only (Mon-Thu 07:45-16:45, Fri 07:45-12:45). Training is provided for turning or milling, and GCSE level education or equivalent is welcomed.

Qualifications

• Experience operating CNC machines.
• Experience cutting metal.
• Some turning or milling experience, training provided.
• GCSE level qualification or equivalent.
• Ability to work as part of a team and on own initiative.

A growing Engineering business that is recognised as a world leader in its field of precision automation components is looking for a CNC Setter/Operator to join its team in Hertford. The business has nearly 60 years of innovation and are backed by extensive application experience, utilising the most advanced materials. You will be working 39 hours per week, daytime only, Monday – Thursday, 07:45-16:45 Friday, 07:45-12:45.

As CNC Setter/Operator, you will:

• Set and operate CNC machinist.
• Inspect your own work.
• Ensure quality of work is accurate, thorough and neat.
• Produce a significant volume of work efficiently in a specified period of time.
• Demonstrate appropriate judgment and decision-making skills when necessary

We are looking for a CNC Setter/Operator with the following skills and experiences:

• Experience With CNC Machines.
• Experience with cutting metal.
• Some Turning experience. (Training will be given) or miller experience
• Able to work as part of a team.
• Self-disciplined and able to work on own initiative.
• Educated to GCSE standard or equivalent.

In return you will receive a salary of £28,000 - £32000 per annum.
