Job summary

Next Generation Ltd is seeking a CNC Setter Operator to work with a leading global manufacturer of machined components supplying predominantly into the Aerospace industry. The role involves programming, setting and operating Fanuc controlled lathes on days with an £18.50 hourly rate.

The successful candidate will have 3-5 years' experience setting and operating lathes, familiarity with Fanuc or Heidenhain controls, a strong eye for quality and the ability to manage cycle times while maintaining

• 3-5 years experience within Fanuc or Heidenhain controls (Essential).
• Checking for defects & quality issues (Essential).
• Ability to manage cycle times (Essential).
• Excellent attention to detail (Essential).

Job Title: CNC Setter Operator

Contract: Permanent

Hourly rate: £18.50 per hour

Working Hours: Monday Friday (Days)

Due to expansion, Next Generation are currently recruiting for an CNC Setter Operator to work with a leading global manufacturer who produce machined components supplying predominantly into the Aerospace 3industry.

As the CNC Setter Operator you will be responsible for programming, setting and operating Fanuc controlled Lathes.

Duties of the CNC Setter Operator

• Setting & Operating CNC lathes using Fanuc controls


• Carrying out offsets & tool changes


• Altering speeds and feeds


• Running multiple lathes at any one time


• Monitoring cycle times


• Basic machine maintenance

The successful candidate for the CNC Setter Operators position will have the following experience:

• 3 5 years experience Setting & Operating Lathes (Essential)


• 3 5 years experience within Fanuc or Heidenhain controls (Essential)


• Checking for defects & quality issues (Essential)


• Ability to manage cycle times (Essential)
