Job summary

A leading company in high-end manufacturing is seeking an experienced CNC Setter Operator for ongoing work in Stone, Staffordshire. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in operating CNC Milling machines and be able to demonstrate competence in machining complex components. Working hours are Monday to Friday, with opportunities for overtime and weekly pay.

Days Monday to Friday

7am to 4.30pm Monday to Thursday and 7am to 12pm Friday

Based in Stone, Staffordshire

Working in a high end manufacturing and production environment

Experienced in machining complex components from a variety of metals

Looking for experienced candidate that can demonstrate a high level of competence on a CNC

Duties of a CNC Setter Operator

• Working in the automotive, aviation and marine industry
• Set and operate CNC machinery to produce designated components.
• Set part datums using probing cycles and manual methods
• Able to enter and change tool lengths and datum positions as and when needed.
• Ensure all equipment used is in calibration and good operating condition

Experience required for a CNC Setter Operator

• Milling
• Previous work experience on 5 axis, 4 axis or 3 axis CNC Machines
• Set and operate CNC using Fanuc control
• Relevant experience within Mechanical / Manufacturing Engineering
• Understanding of Engineering drawings
• Working knowledge of control systems
• Change tools, know speeds and feeds
• Ability to use a variety of in process gauging and inspection equipment
• Machining experience
• Experienced in machining complex components from a variety of metals
• Good communicator, written and verbal
• Working in a manufacturing and production background
