Job description

Job Title: CNC Miller Operator/Setter

Pailton Engineering is looking to hire an experienced CNC Miller Operator/Setter for our production team.

Education:
  • Certificate (GCSE) in Maths and English (or equivalent)
Experience:
  • Previous experience within a manufacturing environment
  • Understanding of technical drawings
  • Previous CNC setting and operating experience
Responsibilities include:
  1. Set and operate machines and processes safely and efficiently
  2. Produce parts according to route cards and technical drawings
  3. Ensure all parts meet schedule requirements and quality standards
  4. Adhere to departmental procedures to achieve excellent service and maintain quality standards
  5. Set and operate production machines and auxiliary equipment, ensuring targets are met
  6. Carry out offset changes, tooling, and cutting tip changes as required
  7. Perform quality checks using appropriate measuring equipment and document results
  8. Complete and file all necessary paperwork and labels accurately
  9. Update manufacturing shop floor data collection systems as required
  10. Continuously improve 5S standards
  11. Participate in Total Preventive Maintenance (TPM) activities
  12. Identify and suggest continuous improvement opportunities
  13. Work safely and report any health and safety risks
  14. Collaborate effectively as part of a team
  15. Train other operators when needed
  16. Ensure all work complies with company quality requirements (IATF16949)
  17. Liaise with other departments
  18. Perform any other ad-hoc duties as required
