Job summary
Quest Employment Ltd. is recruiting for an experienced CNC Router Programmer / Operator in Northampton to join a well-established manufacturing business specialising in bespoke panel processing and precision CNC machining.
You will program, set and operate 3-Axis CNC routers, machine MDF and similar sheet materials, read technical drawings, maintain machines, ensure quality, and work with the team to meet production deadlines in a clean, safe workshop.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years' experience programming and operating 3-Axis CNC routers.
- Experience with MDF, plywood, melamine-faced boards and similar materials.
- Strong attention to detail and pride in quality workmanship.
- Good understanding of CNC machine maintenance and care.
- Excellent timekeeping and reliability.
Responsibilities
- Programming and operating 3-Axis CNC routers
- Machining MDF, plywood, melamine-faced boards and other sheet materials
- Reading and working from technical drawings and job specifications
- Carrying out routine machine maintenance and daily checks
- Checking quality throughout the manufacturing process
- Ensuring work is completed accurately and efficiently
- Maintaining a clean, organised and safe working area
- Working closely with the wider team to meet production deadlines
- Following all health and safety procedures
