Job summary

Optima UK Inc Ltd in Leicestershire is seeking a skilled CNC Router Operator to join our manufacturing team. You will operate CNC routers to cut and machine signage components to specification.

This role offers training and progression opportunities, with standard hours Monday to Friday and free parking on site.

Produce high quality parts, follow health and safety practices, and work to production schedules in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Experience operating CNC routers.
• Ability to stand for long periods.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Works well as part of a team.
• Willingness to learn to operate and set other machinery as required.

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC routers to cut and machine signage components.
• Load, set up and unload materials such as ACM, aluminium, acrylic, PVC, MDF and foamex.
• Program or edit jobs using CAD/CAM or router software.
• Check parts against drawings and job sheets for accuracy and finish.
• Carry out basic quality control and dimensional checks.
• Monitor machine operation and identify faults or tool wear.
• Perform basic machine maintenance and housekeeping.
• Ensure correct material orientation, feeds and speeds.
• Work to production schedules and deadlines.
• Follow health & safety procedures and safe working practices.
• Keep work areas clean, organised, and free from waste.
• Liaise with sign makers and production staff to support overall build processes.

Job Role: CNC Router Operator

Location: South Leicestershire

Pay: £13.50 - £15.00 per hour depending on experience

Working Hours: Monday to Friday 7am - 3.30pm.

About the Role

An exciting opportunity has become available for a CNC Router Operator for a manufacturing company based in Leicester. Our client is looking for someone who has existing experience of operating CNC Routers.

Key Responsibilities

• Operating CNC routers to cut and machine signage components to specification
• Loading, setting, and unloading materials such as ACM, aluminium, acrylic, PVC, MDF, and foamex
• Programming or editing jobs using CAD/CAM or router software (where trained)
• Checking parts against drawings and job sheets for accuracy and finish
• Carrying out basic quality control and dimensional checks
• Monitoring machine operation and identifying faults or tool wear
• Performing basic machine maintenance and housekeeping
