Job summary

Permanent Futures Limited is seeking an experienced CNC Router Operator to join our busy manufacturing team in West Yorkshire. You will set up and operate CNC routing equipment, read technical drawings and ensure components meet exact specifications.

You should be skilled at selecting tooling, monitoring production, and carrying out quality checks with attention to detail, safety, and efficiency. Independent work and teamwork are equally important in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

  • Experience operating CNC routers or similar CNC machinery.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and measurements.
  • Proficiency with measuring equipment and checking component accuracy.
  • Good attention to detail and a focus on quality.
  • Strong problem-solving skills to identify machining issues.

Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate CNC router machinery safely and efficiently.
  • Load materials and prepare machines for production runs.
  • Read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and job sheets.
  • Select appropriate tooling, cutting parameters, and machine settings.
  • Load and run CNC programs and make adjustments where required.
  • Carry out accurate measurements and quality checks on finished components.
  • Monitor machining operations and identify potential issues before they affect quality or productivity.
  • Change router bits, tooling, and consumables as required.
  • Perform routine machine cleaning and basic preventative maintenance.
  • Minimise material waste and support efficient production processes.
  • Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment.
  • Follow company health and safety procedures at all times.
  • Work closely with production, design, and manufacturing colleagues to meet deadlines and production targets.

We are recruiting an experienced and reliable CNC Router Operator to join a busy manufacturing and production team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with hands-on CNC routing experience who takes pride in producing accurate, high-quality work.

The successful candidate will be responsible for setting up and operating CNC routing machinery, interpreting technical drawings, preparing materials, monitoring production, and ensuring finished components meet the required specifications and quality standards.

  • Practical problem-solving skills and the ability to identify machining issues.
