Job summary

Matchtech Group is recruiting a Quality Inspector / Quality Technician for a precision CNC environment. The role is 100% on-site with standard 39-hour weeks, initially a 3-6 month contract and potential extension or permanent opportunity for the right candidate.

Qualifications

• Experience in a CNC machine shop or precision engineering environment.
• Strong understanding of engineering drawings and dimensional inspection techniques.
• Experience using precision measuring and inspection equipment.
• Knowledge of First Article Inspection reporting (FAIR).
• Understanding of ISO 9001 quality systems and documentation requirements.
• Experience reviewing material certifications and manufacturing quality records.

Responsibilities

• Carry out first-off inspections on initial production components against drawings and specs.
• Perform in-process patrol inspections to ensure product conformity.
• Execute final inspections prior to dispatch.
• Use a range of inspection equipment (CMM, shadowgraphs, surface roughness testers, etc.).
• Verify raw material documentation (mill reports, heat numbers, CoCs, special process certs).
• Inspect supplier/subcontractor components against drawings and PO requirements.
• Raise and complete NCRs and FAIRs.
• Maintain quality records and inspection documentation.
• Support ISO 9001 compliance and internal procedures.
