Job summary

Mansell Recruitment Group is seeking an experienced CNC Machinist for a well-established precision engineering manufacturer in the UK. The role involves programming, setting and operating CNC milling or turning machines to produce low-volume, high-precision components from engineering drawings.

Working on a double day shift, you will inspect parts, support Lean manufacturing and ensure quality, safety and on-time delivery.

Qualifications

• Experience programming, setting and operating CNC milling or turning machines.
• Experience reading engineering drawings and tight tolerances.
• Proficiency in inspection techniques using precision measuring equipment.
• Low-volume, high-precision manufacturing background.

Responsibilities

• Program, set and operate CNC milling or turning machines.
• Manufacture precision components to drawings and tight tolerances.
• Produce low-volume, high-quality machined parts.
• Inspect first-off and in-process parts using precision measuring equipment.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Record production activity in ERP system.
• Support Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement.
• Maintain quality, housekeeping and health & safety standards.
