Job summary

Located in Walsall, this permanent, full-time role for an experienced CNC Programmer / Machinist is to move into a Trainer / Assessor position with an established engineering training provider in Aldridge. You will deliver practical training in CNC programming, milling and turning, in workshop and classroom settings, demonstrate programming and setting, and assess apprentice progress.

Full training and funded teaching qualifications are provided.

Qualifications

• Level 3 Engineering / Manufacturing qualification or equivalent.
• Strong CNC programming, setting and operating experience.
• Experience with Fanuc and Siemens controls.
• CNC milling and/or turning knowledge.
• GCSE Maths & English Grade 4/C or equivalent.
• CAD/CAM experience would be advantageous but isn't essential.
• You could currently be working as a CNC Programmer, CNC Machinist, CNC Miller, CNC Turner, CNC Setter/Operator or Manufacturing Engineer.

Responsibilities

• Deliver CNC programming, milling and turning training in workshop and classroom.
• Demonstrate CNC programming, setting and operating.
• Support apprentices with practical skills and assess progress.

CNC Programmer / Engineering Trainer

Salary: £29,500 – £32,000

Contract: Permanent, Full-Time

Are you an experienced CNC Programmer / Machinist looking for a new direction?

We are working with an established engineering training provider in Aldridge who is looking for a CNC professional to move into a Trainer / Assessor position, developing apprentices in CNC machining and programming.

You don't need previous teaching experience. Full training can be provided, including funded teaching and assessor qualifications.

The Role

You'll use your industry experience to deliver practical workshop and classroom-based training in CNC programming, milling and turning.

You'll demonstrate CNC programming, setting and operating, support apprentices with their practical skills and assess their progress throughout their programme.

What We're Looking For

• Level 3 Engineering / Manufacturing qualification or equivalent
• Strong CNC programming, setting and operating experience
• Experience with Fanuc and Siemens controls
• CNC milling and/or turning knowledge
• GCSE Maths & English Grade 4/C or equivalent
