Job summary

Recruit Engineering is seeking a skilled CNC Programmer in the UK to join its hands-on manufacturing team. You will develop and optimise CNC programs to produce high-quality components from CAD drawings and CAM models.

Working with machinists and engineers, you will select tooling, set speeds and feeds, troubleshoot issues, and drive continuous improvement of cycles and machining accuracy in a fast-paced production environment.

Qualifications

• Proven CNC programming experience within an engineering/manufacturing environment.
• Experience programming CNC milling, turning, and routing operations.
• Strong understanding of CNC machining processes, tooling, speeds and feeds.

Responsibilities

• Creating CNC programs from 2D and 3D CAD models and engineering drawings.
• Developing tool paths for milling, turning and routing operations.
• Selecting tooling, speeds and feeds for different materials.
• Proving out new CNC programs and adjusting as required.
• Troubleshooting CNC programming and machining issues.
• Optimising programs to improve cycle times, productivity and quality.
• Providing technical support to CNC machinists.
• Collaborating with engineering and design teams to resolve manufacturing challenges.
• Contributing to continuous improvement across CNC processes.
