Job summary

Chase Taylor is seeking an experienced CNC Process & Development Engineer to own preprocessing and drive improvements in machining efficiency within a busy UK manufacturing environment.

You will optimize CNC processes, reduce manual intervention and support the introduction of new products and technologies, collaborating with engineering, production and IT teams to streamline operations and ensure robust change control.

Qualifications

• Experience with CNC machining and preprocessing software (OptiCAM, PEPs or similar).
• Strong understanding of CNC programming and manufacturing processes.
• A continuous improvement mindset with excellent problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively across engineering, production and IT teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain CNC preprocessing systems (OptiCAM / PEPs).
• Improve machining efficiency, accuracy and cycle times.
• Reduce manual programming and process adjustments.
• Support new product and hardware introductions.
• Resolve CNC-related production issues and optimise machine performance.
• Assist with ERP integration and continuous process improvement.
• Document system changes and implement robust change control.
