Job summary
Prodrive is seeking a Production Engineer / CNC Programmer to produce CNC programs for our machine shop, ensuring documentation such as tool lists, setup sheets and fixtures are in place. You will contribute to a small batch manufacturing environment, including prototype work, and coordinate scheduling, pricing and customer liaison.
The ideal candidate has a minimum of 3 years' experience programming with Hypermill CAD/CAM, 5-axis capability, and strong reading of drawings using GD&T.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years' experience programming with Hypermill CAD/CAM and a machining background including batch work and prototypes.
- Experience in Open Mind Hypermill 5-axis programming and ability to program complex parts to high standards.
- Able to read engineering drawings using GD&T and work under pressure to meet deadlines.
Responsibilities
- Produce CNC programs and related information for shop floor on request.
- Ensure smooth day-to-day running of small batch manufacturing including prototypes.
- Schedule and price work; liaise with designers, buyers and customers.
- Maintain TPM records and weekly maintenance sheets for the machine shop.
- Coordinate tool orders and keep tool vending stock up to date.
- Complete structures and routings in ERP for accurate job packs.
