Job summary

Morgan Ryder is seeking an experienced Production Engineer in Lymington to join a busy engineering and manufacturing operation. You will program, set up, and prove CNC programs on 3, 4, and 5‑axis machines, develop production methods, and support shop-floor activities to meet quality and delivery targets.

Qualifications

• Proficient in creating CNC programs, solid/surface models, and drawings using CAM.
• Experience with tight tolerances across various materials.
• Strong GD&T knowledge and interpretation skills.
• Proven track record programming, setting and operating 3, 4 and 5‑axis mills/turns.
• Understanding manufacturing processes, materials and coatings.

Responsibilities

• Provide CNC programming and offline programming from drawings and 3D models.
• Set up and prove CNC programs on 3, 4 and 5‑axis machines to production standards.
• Create manufacturing process plans, routings and ERP load data.
• Produce shop floor documentation including tooling lists and fixtures.
• Review and improve existing CNC programs and methods.
• Drive continuous improvement to capacity, quality and reliability.
• Investigate issues, perform root cause analysis and implement solutions.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Production and Shop Floor teams.
• Support Quality and Inspection with technical guidance.
• Maintain records of designs, tooling, drawings and BOMs.
