Job Description

Due to continued business growth, we are looking to recruit a driven and experienced CNC Production Engineer to join a leading manufacturer near Rochdale. This provides an opportunity to join an extremely stable and expanding British manufacturer who are a household name in their industry.

This role will involve working within the machine shop and supporting the Manufacturing Engineering function by creating new CNC programs using Gibbscam and Esprit. The successful candidate will have a demonstrable background in CNC machining and programming within a precision manufacturing environment. Strong knowledge of CAM software and SolidWorks is essential.

Hours

Monday – Thursday 08:00 – 16:30 / Friday 07:45 – 15:15

Role Responsibilities

1. Execution of manufacturing engineering tasks to meet deadlines
2. Creation of process specifications
3. Support the department with routings, BOMs, production orders, and costings
4. Provide support and expertise to optimise process capability and yield
5. Creating BOMs and routings
6. Preparation of costings for intercompany production
7. Applying lean principles, waste reduction, and efficiency improvements
8. Supporting production with programs, tooling, fixtures, and routings

Qualifications & Skills

• Time served in Mechanical Engineering
• Experience in CNC programming and production engineering
• Knowledge of SolidWorks
• Practical knowledge of milling, turning, and grinding processes
• Knowledge of hard surface welding is advantageous
• Selection and design of tooling, jigs, and fixtures
• Excellent IT skills, including MS Office (Excel, Outlook, etc.)
