Job summary

M-Tec Engineering Solutions Limited is seeking a skilled CNC Engineer to join our high-volume UK facility. You will work on aluminium diecast components using high-speed 5-axis machines, ensuring efficient production, quality, and process improvement.

The role requires apprenticeship-based training or formal college certification, with hands-on CNC programming and setting experience in a production environment. You will engage in TPM/5S, tooling, and on-machine safety practices.

Qualifications

• Experience in machining aluminium diecast components.
• Proven CNC machine programming and setting in production.
• Apprentice-served or formal college certification required.

Responsibilities

• Support production on a daily basis.
• Run CNCs and monitor machine performance, fault-finding and Diagnostics.
• Maintain hydraulic fixture operation, clamping repeatability and machining position to casting.
• Change tools, track tool life, investigate tool breakages.
• Monitor part quality and adjust offsets to improve process capability.
• Develop and maintain process documentation and assist in SWI generation.
• Set procedures and standards; drive TPM and 5S.
• Train and mentor others on safe and correct operation.

Job description

A recognised high volume manufacturer are currently looking to strengthen their Engineering department with the appointment of a CNC Engineer.

As CNC Engineer, you will have a proven track record and experience in machining aluminium diecast components on high speed 5 axis machines.

Working from their manufacturing facility, the CNC Engineer will be responsible for:

• Support production on a daily basis.
• Competent in running CNCs and all aspects of the machine performance, fault finding and diagnostics.
• Maintain hydraulic fixture operation, clamping repeatability and machining position to casting.
• Change tools, track tool life, investigate tool breakages.
• Monitor part quality, adjust offsets and improve process capability.
• Develop and maintain process documentation as well as assist in the generation of SWIs.
• Set procedures and standards
• Drive TPM and 5S
• Train, mentor and guide others on how to operate equipment safely and correctly
• Other related duties as determined by the Process Engineering Manager or Process Engineers.

The successful candidate should be apprentice served or have a formal college certification and proven CNC machine programmning and setting in production environment.
