Job summary

Pertemps Stoke on Trent is recruiting an experienced Press Brake Operative to join our busy manufacturing team in Stoke-on-Trent. You will set up and operate CNC press brake machinery to produce high-quality sheet metal components to specification.

The successful candidate should read engineering drawings, select tooling, and work from drawings with minimal supervision. The role offers dayshift hours and a pay rate of £14.50–£15.00 per hour, depending on experience.

Qualifications

• Experience setting up and operating CNC press brake machinery.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Experience with Amada or Trumpf machines is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC Press Brake machinery.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings and work orders.
• Select tooling and set machines to specifications.
• Produce components to customer requirements with quality checks.
• Perform first-offs and in-process inspections using gauges.
• Maintain a clean, safe working environment and accurate paperwork.
• Support the wider production team and adhere to health & safety procedures.
