Job summary

Gi Group is seeking a reliable CNC Press Brake Machinist for a busy Banbury shop floor. This temporary-to-permanent role offers a day shift and a starting rate of £14.50 per hour for skilled operators who can read drawings and set up machines confidently.

You will operate and set CNC press brakes, program Armada control systems, interpret drawings, perform tool changes, and inspect finished parts with precision tooling to ensure quality standards are met. Prior experience essential.

Qualifications

• Experience operating and setting CNC press brake machinery.
• Programming experience would be highly beneficial.
• Understanding of tooling and mechanical processes advantageous.
• Comfortable using manufacturing software.

Responsibilities

• Operate and set CNC press brake machines for daily runs.
• Program machines using Armada control systems.
• Read and interpret drawings and work orders.
• Edit programs at the machine when required.
• Perform tool changes based on thickness and bend radius requirements.
• Inspect finished parts using measuring tools to ensure spec compliance.
