Location: Leeds LS10, West Yorkshire

Working hours: Monday to Wednesday 3:15 pm to 1:45 am, Thursday 3:15 pm to 12:45 am

Our client, based on the outskirts of Leeds, has been established for 24 years and is a market leader in manufacturing furniture for the Hospitality Industry. They manufacture and fit out hotels with bespoke furniture for clients such as Hilton, Sheraton, Holiday Inn, and Crowne Plaza.

Job Purpose
Machining and preparing timber and board materials to the required specifications and quality.

Responsibilities include:

• Operation and setup of various machinery, primarily CNC, but also Edgebanders and Beam Saws.
• Ensuring timely and smooth delivery of components and assemblies to different factory departments.
• Ensuring components meet the correct specifications to satisfy customer requirements.
• Using paperwork such as labels, drawings, and specifications to carry out detailed tasks.
• Quality checking and fault identification.
• Performing general tasks as directed by your Line Leader or Manager.
• Adhering to all Health and Safety policies and guidelines.
• Collaborating with the Machine Shop Manager to continually improve procedures.

Essential Skills

• Previous experience with CNC machines, ideally in wood manufacturing.
• Knowledge of other machinery like Edgebanders, saw operators, and familiarity with WoodWop and B:Solid.
• Ability to work as part of a team and independently.
• Problem-solving skills.
• Attention to detail and quality.
• Basic understanding of Health and Safety.
• Initiative to stay busy and productive.
• Good communication skills.
• Strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
• Ability to meet targets.
