Job description

Job Title: CNC Operator / Machinist

Location: Nottingham

Salary: A£26k - A£28k per annum DOE

Job type: Permanent, Full-time

The CNC Operator / Machinist role:

The basic duties will include setting up and operating a CNC router, maintaining quality and safety standards, maintaining equipment and supplies, and keeping records.

Reporting directly to the CNC Supervisor, you will be responsible for ensuring production and quality targets are met.

The ideal CNC Operator / Machinist must show previous performance and skills in the following areas:

1. Beam saw experience would be extremely advantageous.
2. A CNC machine operating background is essential.
3. 3 & 5 Axis CNC operation.
4. Experience on an SCM router is essential.
5. Experience working on a Biesse would be advantageous.
6. Knowledge of programming, Xilog is also beneficial.
7. Ability to work on your own initiative.
8. Flexible approach to work.
9. Achievement of quality standards.
10. Achievement of performance targets.
11. Ability to follow instructions.
12. Experience in woodworking (advantageous but not essential).
13. Excellent attitude and enthusiasm.
