Job summary

Castle Employment Group is recruiting an experienced CNC Operator for a permanent nights role, after an initial days period. You’ll set up and run high-speed CNC machines, reading drawings and making edits, across milling, drilling and tapping processes.

A strong focus on quality and tooling is essential. You must have hands-on CNC experience, with 3/4-axis capabilities, and familiarity with Renishaw probing.

Qualifications

• Previous CNC setting and operating experience in a production environment.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and machined components.
• Experience with 3-axis and 4-axis CNC machining and basic programme edits.
• Familiar with Renishaw probing and tooling understanding.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate high-speed CNC machines for production.
• Machine across milling, drilling, tapping and related processes.
• Read drawings and make basic CNC programme/tool edits.
• Load materials, check tooling, and maintain production records.
• Ensure quality and minimise scrap, supporting the machine shop.
