Acorn by Synergie in South Devon is seeking an experienced CNC Sliding Head Turner/Programmer/Setter/Operator to join a precision engineering team. The role offers a £45,000-£55,000 salary, overtime, and a permanent position within a specialist manufacturing environment.

You will work with Star and Citizen sliding-head machines, program using Fanuc controls, read drawings, and maintain tight tolerances while delivering high-precision components.

Qualifications

• Experience programming, setting and operating CNC sliding-head machines.
• Experience with Star SJ10 and/or SW12 machines.
• Experience with Citizen machinery.
• Good knowledge of Fanuc controls.
• CNC programming skills.
• The ability to work accurately to tight tolerances.
• The ability to read and understand engineering drawings.
• A methodical approach to quality and precision.

Acorn by Synergie is currently recruiting on behalf of an established precision engineering business in South Devon for an experienced CNC Sliding Head Turner, Programmer, Setter and Operator.

This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled machinist with experience working on Star and Citizen sliding-head machinery who is looking for a long-term, permanent position within a specialist manufacturing environment.

Requirements

• Previous experience programming, setting and operating CNC sliding-head machines.

• Experience with Citizen machinery.

• Good knowledge of Fanuc controls.

• CNC programming skills.

• The ability to work accurately to tight tolerances.

• The ability to read and understand engineering drawings.

Experience within electronics, opto-electronics, or other high-precision manufacturing environments would be advantageous.
