Job summary

Acorn by Synergie is seeking an experienced CNC Sliding Head Turner/Programmer/Setter/Operator for a South Devon-based role. You will work with Star and Citizen sliding-head machines, programming and operating to tight tolerances in a precision engineering environment.

The successful candidate will have extensive experience with Star SJ10/SW12 and Citizen machinery, strong Fanuc control knowledge, and the ability to read engineering drawings to drive quality production and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Previous experience programming, setting and operating CNC sliding-head machines.
• Experience with Star SJ10 and/or SW12 machines.
• Experience with Citizen machinery.
• Good knowledge of Fanuc controls.
• CNC programming skills.
• The ability to work accurately to tight tolerances.
• The ability to read and understand engineering drawings.
• A methodical approach to quality and precision.

Acorn by Synergie is currently recruiting on behalf of an established precision engineering business in South Devon for an experienced CNC Sliding Head Turner, Programmer, Setter and Operator.

This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled machinist with experience working on Star and Citizen sliding-head machinery who is looking for a long-term, permanent position within a specialist manufacturing environment.

Requirements

We are looking for an experienced CNC machinist with a strong background in sliding-head/Swiss-type machining.

You should have:

• Experience with Citizen machinery.

• Good knowledge of Fanuc controls.

• CNC programming skills.

Experience within electronics, opto-electronics, or other high-precision manufacturing environments would be advantageous.
