Job summary

Meritus is seeking a skilled CNC Miller with programming, setting and operating experience to manufacture precision components in Christchurch. You will interpret drawings, select tooling and maintain quality through inspection and processes.

The role offers a hands-on, varied workload across sectors and opportunities for process improvement. The successful candidate will contribute to first-off and in-process inspections, work with diverse materials and support continuous improvement

Qualifications

Experience as CNC Miller Setter/Programmer in a precision engineering environment.
Able to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
Strong experience with Fanuc and Haas controls for programming, setting and machining.
Capable of machining to tight tolerances and supporting inspection activities.

Responsibilities

Program, set and operate CNC milling machines to manufacture precision components.
Edit existing CNC programs and optimise machining processes.
Interpret drawings/specs and select tooling to meet production requirements.
Conduct first-off inspections and in-process checks; maintain documentation.
Support deburring and finishing activities and contribute to continuous improvement.
Ensure compliance with quality standards, procedures and safety, maintaining a clean workspace.
