Job summary

Ernest Gordon Recruitment is seeking a skilled CNC Programmer for a bespoke manufacturing client in Exeter. You will program, set and operate CNC milling machines on one-off and production work, ensuring tight tolerances and quality.

Hours are Mon-Thu 7:00–16:00 and Fri 7:00–13:00 with optional overtime and an early finish on Fridays. The role offers £21–£23 per hour with OTE up to £68,000 and a range of benefits in a stable, people‑first workshop.

Qualifications

• Experience programming, setting and operating CNC mills.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and perform inspections.
• Experience in bespoke manufacturing environments.

Responsibilities

• Program, set and operate CNC milling machines to manufacture precision components.
• Interpret engineering drawings and carry out dimensional inspections.
• Maintain high standards of quality and safety in a busy workshop.
