Job summary

Precision in Basildon, Essex, is seeking an experienced CNC Miller & Setter for a low-volume, bespoke aerospace machining environment. You will set, prove and operate CNC mills, read complex drawings and develop effective machining strategies across Mazak, Hurco and Haas equipment.

Qualifications

Interpreting complex engineering drawings and specifications

Key Responsibilities

• Developing machining strategies and workholding solutions Producing high-precision aerospace components to tight tolerances Carrying out inprocess checks and ensuring quality standards are met Working closely with Engineering and Quality teams to resolve manufacturing challenges Maintaining a high standard of workmanship across bespoke components

What We're Looking For

• Proven experience as a CNC Miller / Setter
• Strong experience within a high-precision, low-volume environment
• Able to work from complex engineering drawings with minimal supervision
• Experience with one or more of Mazatrol, Hurco, Fanuc or Haas controls
• Strong setting and proving out experience
• Aerospace machining experience highly advantageous
• Methodical, technically minded and quality focused
