CNC Miller Setter

Location: Coventry
Salary: £15 - £17/hr
Hours: 39 hours per week
Monday - Thursday: 7:30am to 4:30pm
Friday: 7:30am to 12:30pm

Permanent – Immediate Start Available

Our client is a well-established precision engineering company, offering a clean working environment, supportive team culture, and opportunities to work on a wide variety of materials and components.

The role of Senior CNC Miller will involve:

1. Setting and operating 3/4/5 axis milling machines with Heidenhain controls
2. Interpreting technical drawings and 3D digital files
3. Producing prototypes and small production runs
4. Proving out new programs and making necessary offsets or tool changes
5. Carrying out both manual and CMM inspections
6. Maintaining a clean and organised workstation
7. Adhering to quality standards and tight tolerances
8. Supporting team goals and promoting effective collaboration

Job Requirements:

1. Time-served or equivalent experience in a precision machining environment
2. Aerospace experience preferred
3. Proficient with Heidenhain controls (including basic programming)
4. Able to confidently inspect own work using CMMs and manual gauges
5. Experience with Mikron, YCM or Bridgeport machines (desirable)
6. CAM experience beneficial – training can be provided
7. Skilled in machining a range of materials: steels, aluminium, plastics, brass, bronze, super duplex etc.
8. Strong attention to detail, a team player, and flexible in approach
