Shift Allowance

25 days holiday + 8 Public Holidays

Experience in CNC machining with a focus on 3 & 4 axis operations.
Ability to read engineering drawings and produce high-quality work.

Program, set, and operate universal bed type milling machines.
Work on small batch jobs and perform inspections.

Job Title: CNC Miller Programmer Setter
Job Type: Lates, Perm
Location: Atherstone
Salary: £17ph + 12% Shift Allowance

Hours of Work: 39 hour per week (4-day week)
Mon-Wed 4.00pm – 2am
Thurs – 3.00pm – Midnight
(Friday – Overtime, subject to workload)

We are looking for a highly skilled CNC machinist to programme, set and operate our universal bed type milling machines with Heidenhain control system. You will need to have a good understanding of 3 & 4 axis machining and have machined a wide range of materials including Stainless, Aluminium, Mild Steel and Cast Iron. You must also have some experience in machining medium to large fabrications and castings.

Knowledge & Skills:

Time served apprenticeship or a high level of experience in machining
Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and produce work to a very high standard
Demonstrate a thorough working knowledge of work-holding methods, tool selection and understand cutting parameters
Be flexible and reliable and keen to work as part of a team
Ability to work on your own initiative with minimal supervision
Previous experience in precision engineering/manufacturing is essential
Carry out own inspection
Work to high tolerances

About the Job:

Working on CME FS4 mainly
To cover holidays, you will be put on any one of the following MTE, Kiheung and CME FS4
When essential, you will utilize OneCNC
Majority of programming will be done from scratch at the machine
Small batch work (1 off’s)
