Job description

Job Title: CNC Miller Programmer Setter
Job Type: Lates, Perm
Location: Atherstone
Salary: £17ph + 12% Shift Allowance

Hours of Work: 39 hour per week (4-day week)
Mon-Wed 4.00pm – 2am
Thurs – 3.00pm – Midnight
(Friday – Overtime, subject to workload)

We are looking for a highly skilled CNC machinist to programme, set and operate our universal bed type milling machines with Heidenhain control system. You will need to have a good understanding of 3 & 4 axis machining and have machined a wide range of materials including Stainless, Aluminium, Mild Steel and Cast Iron. You must also have some experience in machining medium to large fabrications and castings.

Knowledge & Skills:
  1. Time served apprenticeship or a high level of experience in machining
  2. Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and produce work to a very high standard
  3. Demonstrate a thorough working knowledge of work-holding methods, tool selection and understand cutting parameters
  4. Be flexible and reliable and keen to work as part of a team
  5. Ability to work on your own initiative with minimal supervision
  6. Previous experience in precision engineering/manufacturing is essential
  7. Carry out own inspection
  8. Work to high tolerances
About the Job:
  1. Working on CME FS4 mainly
  2. To cover holidays, you will be put on any one of the following MTE, Kiheung and CME FS4
  3. When essential, you will utilize OneCNC
  4. Majority of programming will be done from scratch at the machine
  5. Small batch work (1 off’s)
