Job summary

Meritus is recruiting on behalf of a well-established precision engineering manufacturer for a CNC Miller Setter/Programmer/Operator. The role involves programming, setting and operating CNC milling machines to produce high-precision components across varied sectors.

You will support inspection and finishing activities, ensuring quality and efficiency throughout the manufacturing process. You will work with Fanuc and Haas controls, interpret drawings, and contribute to continuous improvement

Qualifications

• Previous experience as CNC Miller Setter/Programmer/Operator in precision engineering.
• Experience programming, setting and operating CNC milling machines.
• Able to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
• Knowledge of Fanuc and Haas controls for tight tolerances.

Responsibilities

• Program, set and operate CNC milling machines to manufacture precision components.
• Edit existing CNC programs and optimise machining processes for efficiency and quality.
• Interpret drawings and manufacturing documentation to ensure conformance to specs.
• Select tooling and determine machining parameters for production needs.
• Perform first-off inspections and in-process checks to maintain quality.
• Carry out deburring and finishing as part of the workflow.
• Maintain production records and documentation for traceability.
• Collaborate with production, quality and engineering to improve processes.
