Job Overview

Due to an increase in workload and continued company growth, we are recruiting a number of CNC Millers to join our client on a permanent basis near Shipley. The company is expanding weekend and night shifts to increase capacity.

Successful candidates will ideally be time‑served to ensure that jobs are manufactured in accordance with supplied technical drawings and specifications.

Candidates will be required to set and operate 3‑ and 5‑axis CNC Millers using Fanuc, Siemens, or Heidenhain controls. Experience with any of these systems is mandatory.

Shift Details

• Night shifts: Monday to Thursday – 40 hours per week. Start between 5:00 pm and 8:30 pm; finish between 4:30 am and 7:30 am.
• Weekend shifts: Friday and Sunday – 36 hours per week. Start between 5:30 am and 8:30 am; finish between 5:30 pm and 8:30 pm.

Responsibilities

• Set and operate 3‑ and 5‑axis CNC Millers using Fanuc, Siemens, or Heidenhain controls.
• Use proven programs and tooling to run multiple machines with diverse materials.
• Perform in‑process inspection using hand measuring equipment and CMM.
• Maintain machines daily, including coolant conditioning, to meet health and safety requirements.
• Keep the working area clean, tidy, and organised.
• Train and mentor new apprentices and new starters.

Qualifications

• Time‑served experience operating CNC Millers to very tight tolerances.
• Experienced with Fanuc or Siemens controls for setting and operating machines.
• Experience working with various materials, including stainless steel, aluminium, and titanium.
