Job summary

Optima UK Inc Ltd in Mansfield is seeking a CNC Miller Programmer to join a precision engineering team, programming, setting and operating CNC milling machines to produce high-quality components from engineering drawings.

You will select tooling, fixtures, and workholding, produce both one-off and batch parts, perform first-off inspections and use measuring equipment to verify tolerance, while maintaining a safe, clean workspace on a permanent night shift.

Qualifications

• Experience programming, setting and operating CNC milling machines.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings accurately.
• Proficiency with precision measuring equipment and inspection tools.

CNC Miller Programmer

Location: Mansfield
Salary: £19.00-£22.00 per hour
Hours: Sunday to Tuesday 19:00-05:00, Wednesday 19:00-03:00
Shift: Permanent night shift

The Role

• Programme, set and operate CNC milling machines.
• Manufacture precision components from engineering drawings.
• Create, edit and optimise CNC programmes.
• Select appropriate tooling, fixtures and workholding.
• Produce one-off and batch components.
• Complete first-off inspections and quality checks.
• Use measuring equipment to ensure components meet specification.
• Maintain a clean, safe and organised working environment.

About You

• Previous CNC milling programming, setting and operating experience.
• Able to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Confident using precision measuring equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Able to work independently during a permanent night shift.
